To say that Dr. Jeffrey Sibner is passionate about dentistry would be an understatement. He graduated from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine with his D.M.D. in 1983 and completed his General Practice Residency there in 1984. Following his residency, he began teaching as a Clinical Associate at Penn Dental, and was appointed Assistant Professor in 1995. In 1996, he reduced his role to guest lecturer as an Adjunct Assistant Professor, a position he continues to maintain.
In addition to private practice and teaching, Dr. Sibner has been associated with St. Mary Medical Center since 2014. He currently serves on the Affiliate Staff.
Dr Sibner is regarded as a national expert on the interaction between periodontal disease and diabetes. Locally, he teaches a portion of SMMC’s diabetes course and a much more detailed course on the same subject at Penn Dental. Nationally, Dr. Sibner has published several articles and continuing education courses.
Dr. Sibner was one of the first dentists in the country to recognize the benefits of tooth whitening, and owns two patents for a whitening system he developed in 1994. In addition, he has been featured in the Bucks County Courier Times and the Yardley News as well as Philadelphia WKYW radio’s Healthwatch and TV Channels 6, 8 and 17!
While he can treat all the common dental issues; people with unique or difficult cases are often pleasantly surprised that Dr. Sibner can recommend solutions specifically geared to their needs and finances: “I want to help as many people as possible gain access to high-quality dental care. Many cases can be treated a number of different ways and I always try to educate patients about all their options and help them make informed decisions. I treat every patient as I would treat my own family.”
